Q: What’s the turnaround time for the image delivery of a portrait session?

A: 7-14 business days

Q: Turnaround time for a wedding?

A: 4-8 weeks (sometimes around 12 weeks in the peak of wedding season - quality over quantity - true artistry is never rushed )

q: what are your starting prices?

a: Weddings $3200 portraits $400

Q: Do you offer a second photographer for weddings?

A: Yes, all of my wedding packages come with a second photographer to ensure your most important parts of the day are fully covered with two talented artists.

q: how long have you been shooting weddings for?

a: since 2015, portraits professionally in 2013

Q: Will I receive the unedited or RAW images from my session/event?

A: All of the images I deliver are edited/color corrected high resolution JPEGS. Taking the photos is only half of the art. editing is the icing on top. You wouldn’t order a cake from a bakery and then ask for the ingredients to be delivered to your door. You hire the expert for their art, not the unfinished product. I promise to provide a variety of imagery during my time with you, and if you feel I missed any PARTICULAR shot, I’d be happy to check.

Q: What’s your style for weddings and portrait sessions? How much editing do you do?

A: My style is a mix of journalistic and artistic. With a journalistic style, I capture the real moments around me as they’re happening, both candid and posed. I also deliver artistic images where I play with color, lighting, and angles to give some extra creativity to the finished album. That being said, I want you to look back on your event or session and remember that time for how it really was. I always encourage my couples and clients to love and embrace themselves for who they are. If you do decide you want extra editing done, such as photoshop work or retouching, there will be an additional fee per image.

Q: How do you handle unruly wedding party members, family members, or overall incidents that may come up during the wedding day?

A: I will create a timeline/shot list before your big day and we will go over it together to make sure it’s exactly what you’re looking for. Everything I do, I make sure to deliver it in a friendly and professional manner. If someone is asking for their own poses in the middle of formal portraits, I reference the shot list and let them know there has been a certain time limit set aside for portraits, but as soon as we’re done with the list, we will try to get to their requests. For unruly characters, I direct them in a stern manner with a smile on my face, reminding them that we’re on a set timeline and these photos are very important to the couple.

Q: Why do you offer a 5 hour minimum for weddings/elopements?

A: This is one of the most special days in your life together, and I need enough time to best capture your day. There are so many wonderful moments in weddings and elopements that deserve to be documented and preserved.

Q: How much is your retainer fee?

A: The retainer fee for portrait sessions and weddings is due at the time of booking and is non refundable. It ensures your date is saved. $500 for weddings, 50% of total for portraits.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: After the retainer payment is made to save your date, all payments made after are non-refundable. If you need to change your date, I am happy to work with you to find a mutually available date and require a new retainer to hold that new date. If there isn’t a date that works for both of us, I will reach out to my associate photographers for their availability to cover your day in my place. You will still have a second photographer to help with coverage if booking a wedding or elopement. For sessions, all payments made will go towards a future date if session is postponed due to illness or weather.

Q: How are you responding to Covid?

A: Before each session or event, I ask that anyone who is feeling unwell (even if they think it’s just a cold) or have been in contact with someone unwell, reach out to me as soon as possible so we can reschedule. I have face masks and hand sanitizer available for my second photographer and myself.

Q:How many images will I receive from my wedding?

A: I hand-select the very best images from your special day and deliver 50-100 images per hour I’m hired to photograph. It depends on how much there is for me to capture. For example: 8 hours coverage = approximately 400-800 high resolution digital images you can share with family and friends, and print to your heart’s content.

Q:How many images will I receive from my Portrait session?

A: Each package varies. I fully embrace quality over quantity, and promise to provide plenty of beautiful moments I capture with you.

Q: My vendors are wanting to use the engagement/wedding images you took, what should I do?

A: Kindly remind them that the photographer owns the copyright of every image they take before, during, and after the wedding and they must contact the photographer before posting. You wouldn’t ask a florist for free bouquets to use or ask a DJ to play at your event for free, just like it’s not free to take a photographer’s images and use them for advertisement. I happily work with all of my couple’s vendors in sharing imagery. These Images are first and foremost for your personal use to enjoy with your loved ones.

Q: Do you charge if I ask you not to share any images from my session or event?

A: Yes. As the sole owner of all of the images I take, I have the right to post any photos I take, but I respect the wishes of my clients if they ask for privacy and I charge an additional fee. Every wedding I shoot and post gives me more potential for growth, and if I’m asked not to share, that’s holding me back from getting to meet more great couples.

q: do you travel?

a: yes! I love to travel! for weddings, i charge a travel rate if the venue is over 30 miles from Cameron Park. if the venue is over a 3 hour drive from my home, i charge what it costs me to travel, such as gas, hotel, and food. if you’re having a destination wedding, the same idea applies with flights and a car rental added to the cost. to save my couples money, i am also happy to stay in an airbnb with them - we’re practically bff’s at that point.

I’ve got my passport ready to go - Let’s do this!
