Kimberly and Matthew planned on having a sunny Spring wedding at their near and dear friend’s house, who they consider to be family, where the ceremony would take place in their flower-filled backyard. The weather had other plans. The closer it got to their big day, a storm was predicted to come in and rain heavily on their saved date. Thankfully, we had Tan Weddings and Events to save the day and found a lovely location to get ready at and hold the ceremony and reception. Kimberly and Matt are such beautiful souls. Not once did they let the rain dampen their mood. They were surrounded by wonderful friends and family all day and there was no shortage of laughter. :) Their first look took place outside under the eves as the rain gently fell, and the lighting was SO soft (thank you, clouds). The ceremony was nothing short of magical with castle-inspired details all round us - from the tall ceilings with exposed beams to the large block wall, up-lit to bring more texture out. 

I always encourage my couples not to worry when it comes to planning their wedding. There is never going to be a wedding that goes EXACTLY to plan and it’s best to go with the flow and trust in the pros you hired to help you through the hurdles. Kimberly and Matt didn’t let the location change affect them one bit. They knew it’s not the location that makes a wedding special; it’s the people and they all had a blast. Tasty tacos from Chandos Tacos via food truck and lots of excellent songs cranked out by the DJ added to the life of the party. The night ended with all of the guests forming one large circle on the dance floor, singing along the final song to Kimberly and Matt. It’s so beautiful to get to witness and capture these special moments. I seriously love what I do.
